Engagement Photo Shoot: Why Do it? Many may wonder how important an Engagement Photo Shoot would be. I will answer it from a Photographer’s point of view and hopefully, will give insight to the couples that would read this page. I could point out endless reasons. One would be, it allows the photographer to know the couple. What do I mean by that? During an Engagement Photo Shoot, you will be able to create a rapport with your photographer. Creating a rapport before the wedding day is very important so that on the day of the event, you would be eliminating chances of being awkward with each other. Based on experience, either the groom or the bride would tell the photographer, “this is my good side”. Knowing their good side is such a great advantage, remembering it on the wedding day is a plus!

Second, it also allows the couple to know what is their best angle when facing the camera like this of Leticia and Matthew. This picture showcases their features.

Third, you can know your make-up artist better. Don’t you know that you can do your makeup trial same day as your Engagement Photo Shoot? Take advantage of it. Schedule your trial makeup, then have photos taken after. Thuy did what is supposed to be done.
Lastly, you’ll have nice photos to be used Pre-Wedding. Nowadays, the photos from the Engagement Photo Session are usually incorporated with their Guest Book. Some couples print out a large image of their favorite photo and display it at the entrance of their Venues like Malissa and Jean…or use it for “Save The Dates”.

So while doing the photo shoot, the photographer can actually know the couple’s love story or even allow them to open up more of themselves to the photographer, breaking barriers between the two entities. I say, go for an Engagement Photo Shoot. In HazeDelight Photography, a FREE Engagement Photo Shoot is always part of our Wedding Package.
